SMSIS Reading Progress
This oral reading fluency app was introduced to the growing readers of SMSIS during our Home-Based Learning last September of 2021. It has become one of the most impactful formative assessments that creates personalised reading experience from preschool to primary level.
4 months later, the academic team, headed by T. Joel and facilitated by T. Elvira and T. Theresa have decided to introduce the new reading programme to our Early Years section during our Preservice Training held last January as part of our Continuous Professional Development (CPD). This has also become part of our reading support programme for all students.
What’s new?
Capitalising on its cross language application, SMSIS is again offering another first of its kind by introducing Reading Progress in both Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin elective subjects.
In SMSIS, we continue to push the boundaries with the use of technology to ensure optimal learning despite the pandemic.
