New parents and guardians came out in full strength to participate in the Orientation Programme at SMSIS on 17th February 2023.
In its aim to provide general information about the school, its curricula, and programmes, they were accommodated with better insights of their children’s education in SMSIS.
There were three (3) sessions organised on this day; the first session was facilitated for KG1 and new parents of preschoolers, the second session was for parents of Y1A, Y1B, Y1C & Y1D students, and the 3rd session accommodated parents of Y1E, Y1F and new parents of Year 2 to Year 6 students.
During the orientation, the school’s vision and mission were further discussed and parents were well-provided with essential information about Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Cambridge International Examination (CIE), Early
Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Cambridge Primary Curriculum (CPC), Digital Learning Unit – DLU, Student Support Unit (SSU), Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), MS Teams Parent’s Portal, Safety and Security, and the upcoming SMSIS 25th Anniversary celebration.
Later that day, parents and guardians toured around the school and had the opportunity to view the facilities and resources available.
